On November 13, 2021, my family and I took a trip up north from our house to visit Snoqualmie Falls. We took the hike down to the bottom of the falls where I took the photo below. The waterfall was raging on this day because of a ton of rain that had been falling up to this day. You can also see some fog creeping up the side of the hill in this photo which gives the composition some character. It was a cloudy day, so the skies are gray.

The Hiking Trail

The hike down to the bottom of the trail to see the Snoqualmie Falls is 0.7 miles or 1.4 miles round trip. Dogs are allowed on the trail but must be leashed. There are usually quite a few people hiking this trail at any given time. If you would rather not hike the trail, there is also a lower parking lot that you can drive to.

This Snoqualmie Falls photo was photographed with these camera settings:

  • Shutter Speed: 1/200 seconds
  • Lens Aperature: f/9
  • Focal Length: 24 mm
