Below is a picture of single elk standing in a field early in the morning at Yellowstone National Park. My family and I were on a two-week road trip and visited 9 national parks. Yellowstone was the second to the last park on our trip. As we were leaving the park, I had by Sigma 150-600mm zoom lens ready to go and snapped this photo as we were driving by a field where this elk was having breakfast. This photo was taken near the Hayden Valley area in Yellowstone. Besides bison, elk was one of the most common wildlife we saw while in Yellowstone National Park.
