This Mt Rainier view from Puyallup River is a spectacular site to see. Mt Rainier is a staple in Washington State. Everyone that lives here knows how this mountain can light up the sky. On some days such as this, the mountain looks as though it is floating in the sky. People in Washington State talk about “the mountain” in ways people from out of state don’t understand. For example, we say things like “the mountain is out today.” Mt Rainier is located in Mt Rainier National Park at 14,410 feet above sea level.

🗻 Photo Description and Details

This is a photo of Mt Rainier that I took from the Puyallup River looking towards the east. Blue sky surrounds the mountain on this beautiful day with green trees and the river in the foreground. The mountain looks extremely big in this photo. Some days, even though the mountain never moves or grows, it just looks bigger than other days.

✏️ Final Thoughts for Mt Rainier View from Puyallup River Photo

There are spectacular views of Mount Rainier from all over Washington State and the Pacific Northwest. The most epic views, I believe, of the mountain is when it is looking huge above the skyline and floating in the sky (like this photo). You can find views like this all over the Puget Sound region. To get close up views of the mountain, consider a day trip to the Sunrise Visitor Center, or the Paradise Visitor center areas. In my opinion, Mt Rainier National Park, is one of the most beautiful parks in this country with spectacular views on clear days and thousands of hikes in the mountain range. Mt. Rainier is located about 80 miles from Seattle by car.
