Check out this photo of Mt. Rainier taken with a zoom lens. The focal length was set at 119 mm for this photo. This is an extremely close-up photo of Mt. Rainier. Mt. Rainier is a large active volcano located in Washington State as part of the Cascade Range.
I photographed this photo of Mount Rainier in October of 2005. It was taken near Reflection Lake in Mount Rainier’s National Park. In October, the snow hasn’t really started falling yet, so the mountain was still quite bare.
Look at the gallery below to see some more of my favorite Mt. Rainier pictures that I have photographed from different locations around the state.
I started out using 35mm point and shoot cameras, then upgraded to a 35mm DSL camera, and then finally came the world of digital DSL cameras. Gone are the days of having to wait for your film to be developed to see what you captured. Photography has never been so much fun!
