Wallpaper Info | Commercial Use
A scenic picture taken of two African wild dogs taken at the Woodland Park Zoo which is located in Seattle, Washington. African wild dogs live and hunt in packs. An average pack has seven or eight adult members. Social interaction - muzzling, licking, wrestling is common among these wild dogs just as it is among domestic dogs. African wild dogs are the size of medium domestic dogs. Lycaon pictus is their Latin name and means "painted wolf-like animal." Their coats are mottled in shades of brown, black and beige. They have large, rounded ears and dark brown circles around their eyes. These wild dogs differ from wolves and other dogs in that they have four toes instead of five.
