#324 — This is a scenic picture taken of a Polar Bear at the San Francisco Zoo in California. Polar Bear's fur looks white, but actually each hair is a clear hollow tube. Sunlight goes through hte fur to the bear's black skin helping to keep the Polar Bear warm. Because of this unique quality of their fur, Polar Bears are able to stay comfortable in a wide range of temperatures. Their natural habitat is sea ice, islands, and coasts.
