The Pyramid is no longer the company headquarters, but it serves as Transamerica's corporate logo and is strongly identified with the corporation. Today it is a world-class office tower and home to more than 50 high-profile firms employing about 1,500 people. It is also surrounded by 4 and 5 star hotels, restaurants, galleries, clubs and shopping, and the colorful neighborhoods of Jackson Square, Chinatown and North Beach.
